Introduction to Drawing
This six week Drawing course introduces students to a variety of drawing media- mainly graphite and colored pencils, charcoal and ink. Students will develop and strengthen their observational and conceptual drawing skills through studies and focused assignments.
Concepts and methods taught in this course will include:
• Line drawing
Tonal drawing
Mark making
Composition- systems for composing space
Drawing a still life
Portrait and life drawing
Open concept drawing
This class is for adults and will be held every Tuesday evening from 6-8:30pm. January 9 through February 13.
Jean Richardson will be the instructor for this NAC Art Course. She has received a BFA in Drawing and Painting and an MFA in Studio Arts. She has been teaching art for 15 years, and has taught students from elementary school aged up to the college level.
