This Watercolor course will introduces students to the materials and methods of watercolor painting. Students will be taught a variety of approaches to watercolor painting and use these skills to create many works of art.

Concepts and methods taught in this course will include:

• Color color mixing, color charts and color matching

• Watercolor techniques - layering washes, wet-in-wet and brushwork

• Composition - systems for composing space

• Perceptual and abstract painting

If your child has taken this course previously don’t worry! there will be new techniques taught and new assignments given. They will also be given extra time to dive deeper into projects they really enjoy because this year the art courses are 15 minutes longer!

This is a 6 week course for kids ages 8 and up. We will meet Thursday afternoons from 4-6pm

Class begins January 15th and goes until February 19th, 2026.
