Collage & Mixed Media Processes: Kids (6+) After School Session
This Mixed Media course introduces students to a variety of art media to make process oriented art works. Students will use collage, drawing, printing, and painting to create works on paper, panels, and found art. No experience is necessary! This is a fun 6 week class where students will get to explore and create without pressure to be perfect or copy what the teacher does.
Concepts and methods taught in this course will include:
Composition- systems for composing space
Collage
Monotype printing
Iterative art works
Color schemes
Combining and layering materials
Additive and subtractive techniques
Mark making techniques
This class is for kids ages 6 and up and will be held every Thursday Afternoon from 4-6pm. April 18th through May 21st.
Jean Richardson will be the instructor for this NAC Art Course. She has received a BFA in Drawing and Painting and an MFA in Studio Arts. She has been teaching art for 15 years, and has taught students from elementary school aged up to the college level.
