Intro to Sculpture: After School Session
This Sculpture course will introduce students to the materials and methods of creating 3-D art works. Students will be taught a variety of approaches to making sculptures using, materials such as papier-mache, cardboard, wire, and clay.
Concepts and methods taught in this course will include:
Shape and form
Mass and space
Proportion and scale
Representational sculptures
Abstract sculptures
Relief sculpture
Subtractive sculpture
Casting sculpture
This class is for kids ages 8 and up and will be held every Thursday afternoon from 4-6pm. From February 22nd to March 28th.
Jean Richardson will be the instructor for this NAC Art Course. She has received a BFA in Drawing and Painting and an MFA in Studio Arts. She has been teaching art for 15 years, and has taught students from elementary school aged up to the college level.
